As DEX 3 continues to evolve as a professional level karaoke show hosting solution in 2018 so will LYRX. LYRX is essentially the karaoke-specific features of DEX 3 stripped out into it’s own stand-alone software solution. For KJs using a MAC to host karaoke that do not require the additional DJ and video mixing capabilities found in it’s an ideal solution. With the recent addition of the in-app we’ve seen a massive influx of new LYRX customers — and it’s clear they are looking for a handful of new features that will make their jog even easier.
We plan to speed up the development of these items in 2018, with a few of them well under way now. Here’s a look at some of our goals for LYRX in 2018:. Singer rotation management options: Instead of the basic singers list available in LYRX today we plan to include a more ‘fixed’ style rotation (similar to what is found in Karaoki for Windows). This feature will help to automate the singer rotation. Singer/Song History: LYRX will soon store history of your karaoke singers and what they sang. Automated Filler Music Player: An option to have a playlist of regular music (not karaoke) play automatically in between singers and sets = no dead air!.
Multiplex Support: Support for karaoke files where the vocal resides in one channel (mute or un-mute the lead vocal). Slide Show: During filler music the host will be able to display a slideshow of images on screen (in addition to the existing ability to display text, image, and video overlays on screen). Built in Ala Carte Song Store: Not only will LYRX users have the ability to subscribe to but will have the option to purchase/download songs on demand.
