I'm opening this as a new report in order to attach snapshot. Controls behave a bit differently that one would expect. Brightness does its job. Bringing contrast to zero makes image almost totally black (influences brightness). Saturation does not go from black/white to exaggerated colours but rather from blue shades to color with yellow dominance.

Gamma does not change gamma so radically (goes from yellow to yellow), influences contrast and brightness. Sharpness has no effect. Thanks a lot for this gpl software! Logged In: YES userid=512199 Originator: YES this is the best I managed to do, but I had to make use of HackTVCarbon.

As noted in other comments, that piece of software offers more feedback about the current colour balance. The one I used here was the 'RGB parade'. The problem seems that the Contrast-Brightness-Saturation controls do not really influence what you would expect from their name. Would it be possible to add to macam a similar feedback as the one given by HackTVCarbon 'RGB Parade'?

Also it seams that the camera has problems in adapting to diferent light conditions. In windows I can clearely see the automatic adjustment to light conditions taking place (for example if i point the camera to the outside the image fist get all white and in a second or so it adjusts itself).

With macam drivers this does not happen. The camera goes almost blind with the excess of light. With 'normal' light conditions (inside the house artificial light) it shows a greenish/yellowish image witch also has very little contrast. After adjusting the contrast/brightness it improves very little, it seams that the contrast adjustment has problems. I can see diference in the sharpness adjustment not much but it does seem to do something at least in some conditions of light. By the way i agree that this gpl software (drivers) is great, it works fine with the other webcam that i have:).
